Sheetz Fluffer Nutter Smoothie Review

The other day I was pumping gas, minding my own business, when I heard someone calling my name, all soft and seductive-like. Naturally, I was confused, because who the hell would try to seduce this hot mess? But then I saw it. From across the parking lot, glinting in the sun, the Fluffer Nutter Smoothie beckoned me from a lamppost ad.

I decided, right then and there, that if the Fluffer Nutter Smoothie wanted me, I wasn't going to let it down. I marched into the gas station and ordered one up. (On the touch screen, because Sheetz is fancy like that.)

Fluffer Nutter Smoothie in hand, I settled in at a table to enjoy this decadent treat gazing up at me with irresistible bedroom eyes. (Also, Sheetz has tables. Because Sheetz is awesome.)

I hungrily took my first sip of this Fluffer Nutter Smoothie. As it turns out, the seductive Fluffer Nutter Smoothie, like all the lying, cheating dirtbags that seduced me before it, was full of shit. Figuratively, at least. I didn't drink enough of it to decide if it was literally shitty. But it could have been.

All the Fluffer Nuttery goodness I was promised was nowhere to be found. All I could taste was peanut butter. No fluff. No creaminess. No lovingly-placed banana slices. Just liquified peanut butter. Even that delightful caramel drizzle turned out to be nothing but congealed peanut butter snot. I took a good three or four sips and then threw that liar away.

Now, there is a chance that maybe, just maybe, if you really love peanut butter, you might like this. But you'd really have to love peanut butter. Like, take peanut butter to Vegas and marry peanut butter and have little peanut butter babies and live peanut butterly ever after, and nobody should love peanut butter that much.

Don't get me wrong; I love Sheetz. Sheetz is a magnificent place. I firmly believe that anyone who doesn't have a Sheetz should move immediately because life without Sheetz can't really be called life at all. But when you do get here and make your maiden voyage to Sheetz, skip the Fluffer Nutter Smoothie. Get the deep fried macaroni and cheese instead.

    1. I know! I was so excited when I saw it. I'll have to go find another milkshake somewhere to counteract the scarring effects from this one. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I might try to recreate it at home. I'm thinking ice cream, bananas, and peanut butter. If you make one let me know how it turns out! :-)

  3. I tried one of these for the first time this month and oh my god it was out of this world delicious. I said tastes just like reeses pieces. They must have not put too much peanut butter in mine. So I had another one a few days later and again so good. Today I thought I would have another and this one was awful. It did not taste like peanut butter at all. It tasted like strawberries and was very thin instead of thick. It looked like they look but it sure did not taste it.

    1. By the way I am so with you on loving Sheetz. Every food item I have gotten there is delicious. I love their sub sandwiches, the salads and one time I think I had a burger and another time a wonderful chicken sandwich. The one near me has outdoor tables but not inside. They built a new one on the other side of town and nice indoor section with 2 widescreen TV's and tables and all. The city near me has one that is really nice with actual couches to sit on. They just keep getting better.

    3. Katie I wanted to tell you that since I wrote this I have had about 4 more of these at different Sheetz. Well one or so may have been at my same sheetz but I have not had another good one since those first 2. Well I forgot I told you 2 because I remember that first one being wonderful. I guess the same guy made my 1st 2. ANyway I even told a guy at another sheetz about how the first guy told me he puts in extra peanut butter so he said he would. It still did not taste good. They all follow a recipe but that recipe needs to be improved to be made like my 1st guy did because all of them taste awful. My first one tasted just like reeses peanut butter cup and was like the taste of a shake almost. So no wonder you didn't like it because I think I have been tasting the same crappy taste you have been on these others.
